United Club — George Bush Intercontinental Airport
Houston, Texas
It’s been merely five weeks since we returned home from our 180-day RTW voyage. In that time, we made a quickie trip to Red Bay, Alabama with the motorhome … not so much for fun, though. No, the trip was to get the fogged-up windows replaced. The rest of that time, we were in Houston … making plans for the next set of travels overseas. And now the time has again come to lace up our travel shoes and head to Europe. In fact, even as I write this post, we’re at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, awaiting our flight to London.
Every year we make a pilgrimage to visit family in Turkey for a month or two. As we’re wont to do, we’ve tacked on some additional travel adventures to our trip, stretching out our time away from home … this time to 100+ days. Combine those days with the RTW and by the time we return to the USA in November, we will have been out of the country for 286 days this year. That’s a lot of days … even by our standards.
Our three cruises are all on Celebrity. Sightseeing plans for the
cruises are in the works. What we will do while in Turkey … that is still TBD.

I wish I could invite you to tag along on our trip. But I won’t be blogging this time. I already have one behind-the-times blog — the one for our RTW Voyage. I don’t need another one dogging my steps. I’ll take copious notes in my journal and perhaps when we get back home I can share a bit of what this trip was like.
Happy travels everyone … wherever your plans might take you.
