First … apologies to those who have been following the catch-up posts from our 2013 fall and winter vacation. I am going to have to take a ‘commercial interruption’ as we are about to embark on a new trip — another vacation, if you will. My intentions were good, but I took time off in April to have fun with friends and ran out of time to finish as planned. No regrets, but I have to pay the piper and leave those posts hanging for now. I will finish — I promise.
So where are we off to this time? Back to Turkey for one thing. This trip comes +/- six months from when we left Turkey mid-November last year. That’s a little earlier than usual for what is normally an annual trip, but Mui has a 40th high school reunion he wants to attend. No problem; I’m always up for spending time with my family.
From Turkey, we’ll head to Finland and spend some time in Helsinki. While up in that neck of the woods, we’ll go further north and play in the Arctic again — but more about those plans later.
Houston, TX … Washington, DC … Turkey … Finland … and an Arctic Surprise … coming soon.
Our home goes in storage tomorrow. That might sound odd if you aren’t aware that we live and travel fulltime in our motorhome … although that mode of traveling has been at a minimum this year since we’ve been busy chilling from our 2013 vacation and planning for our 2014-2015 travels. (Our Phaeton Journeys blog is here if anyone wants to check it out.)
Our summer vacation officially starts sometime tomorrow afternoon. I hope to post more than just teasers this time, so stay tuned.
Glad you two enjoy living out of suitcases so much. You certainly have been busy using them since you've retired. Good you are enjoying your world tour:) Looking forward to following your new adventures.
ReplyDeleteCan't say that we enjoy living out of suitcases ... but Phae can't take us everywhere ... so you do what you gotta do.
DeleteSounds like another fun time. Both Turkey and Finland are on our list of countries to visit. I know you will both have a great time. Safe travels.
